UNICOM WARRANTY
HARDWARE: Almost all items have a warranty, whether it's through a manufacturer, distributor or us. If you have a manufacturer's warranty, contact them first regarding any questions about replacement (you will find a warranty card and replacement information included with your product.) If it's a UNICOM warranty then contact us. Replacement warranty depends on the product and if it is still under warranty from our distributors. There is no warranty if an item specifically states on the receipt or on the packaging that it's sold "as-is" with no warranty for exchange or replacement.
- Retail
boxed processors are manufacturer direct warranty only.
- Hard drives are manufacturer direct warranty only.
- Monitors are manufacturer direct warranty only.
Additional warranties are listed on our respective web pages. Be sure you contact us if you have any concerns about our warranty and terms of sale before purchasing. Warranty replacements require a copy of your receipt, and many also required original packaging. So please keep original packaging (may be required with manufacturer direct replacements) and your receipt.

SOFTWARE: All software sales are final. 10-day replacement guarantee only on damaged software only, i.e. cd or floppy is scratched, broken, etc. Contact us immediately if software is damaged or doesn't load properly. There is a $15. replacement charge thereafter, if available (i.e. motherboard CD, Video and Sound Drivers, etc.)
An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number is required for all returns for exchange. Please click here to access our RMA Form, print it and follow the directions on the form. You must contact us to receive an RMA number BEFORE returning the product. You can call or email for the RMA number. We only accept RMA's from merchandise that is purchased from us, and is to be replaced by us (see your invoice for further instructions or call / email.)
TECHNICAL
SUPPORT
Technical support is offered by most manufacturers (hardware and software), and your questions should be directed to them first. The only exception is Unicom's computer systems with operating system pre-installed.
If you find the manufacturer is not willing or unable to help, try these links below. Issues relating to any of these services listed below should be directed to the respective companies. Unicom offers these links as a service only, and is in no way associated with them.
USER's TIPS - Collection of computer users tips, suggestions and techniques on hardware and software.

Operating Systems - Here's a collection of tips and techniques to help resolve issues with Windows XP operating system (you mean there are issues?) Also access other operating systems, too. Take the time to review some of these -- I found several tips that helped improve performance with just a few clicks. Well worth the look!
Experts-exchange.com - This is a giant site populated by many professional IT experts. You earn points by answering questions and can then trade in your points to ask questions and view answers. Alternatively, you can pay a monthly fee. Questioners are expected to report whether the answers solved their problems. The site boasts massive amounts of accurate information, but you have to plow through a lot of irrelevant answers to find the one you want. Be aware that canceling a paid subscription requires sending or faxing a hard-to-find paper form.
Suggestafix.com - This free forum has lots of friendly visitors giving detailed and generally relevant answers on most any computer-related topics you can think of, with an emphasis on Windows. But the site can be slightly frustrating if you're researching a problem, because many questioners don't report whether the answers they received worked or not.
Techguy.org - Found a array of helpful advice and links to solve many common problems in their forums. If they have time (after all, this is free), they'll take you through the process of cleaning your computer unwanted viruses, malware and pop-ups. One suggestion: Always look at the latest answer in a thread before plowing through the rest. Supported by donations - if they take the time to personally help you, show your appreciation by making a donation.
PC
Operations & Maintenance Essentials for New and Experienced Users. The
documentation that accompanies a new PC, whether it is the Windows booklet or
the PC vendor's hardware guide, doesn't say everything it should about each
and every required procedure. And it certainly doesn't put it all in one
convenient user-friendly place! If you follow these recommendations, you
can replace your entire PC with a new one and have it installed and
operational with all of the same software, appearances, and data in the same
amount of time that it takes to complete an initial PC installation.
